Lace up your skates and roll into the fun!  Downtown Escondido transformed Grand Avenue into the ultimate skate destination with a temporary 50’ x 100’ rink constructed of 5,000sq ft of sport court tiles in the middle of the street on Grand Ave!  Seasoned skaters and first-timers can glide, spin, and groove to some tunes with the community. 

Roller Rink Fee $5  & Skate Rental $5!

“Esco Alley Art", is a beautifully eclectic art exhibit of murals displayed on the alley walls of Downtown Escondido from Maple to Juniper Street.

These beautiful murals are periodically revealed in phases.  Attached to each mural is a QR code, giving information about the artist and piece.

The Escondido Tamale Festival is back in Grape Day Park, Escondido, CA and under new management by USA Multicultural.  12,000+ attendees come to north county to enjoy nearly 100 Tamale and other themed Food & Craft Vendors, Best Tamale Contest, Live on Stage Performances including Mariachi's, Folklorico & Latin Dancers, a Beer & Wine Garden, Chihuahua Costume Contest, Fun rides and activities for kids and more.

Cruisin' Grand

Every Friday, June - Sept

Cruisin' Grand returns every Friday night from 4 - 9 p.m. from June through September, featuring pre-1974 American cars.  Parking for event-era cars is on Grand Avenue and side streets, from Escondido Blvd to Ivy Street. in Downtown Escondido.

​

On Friday nights a time warp hits downtown Escondido! The streets are filled with strolling people of all ages, while a parade of pre-1974s vintage cars slowly cruise up and down Grand Avenue. Vintage cars—from American Hot Rods, Classics, Antiques, and Customs— Downtown Escondido is the place to be on Friday nights!  Bring the whole family for a night of fun.

Free Art Scavenger Hunt

MAGEC, Museums and Art Growing Escondido Culture is sponsoring a free Art Scavenger Hunt!  It's open to the public, all ages are welcome, and there will be dozens of prizes.
Simply stop by the Escondido Art Association (EAA), at 121 W Grand Ave (11am-5pm) to get your map.  Scan a QR code for clues.  The hunt takes about an hour, but we invite you to explore, shop and dine along the way.  Many participating businesses will offer event day discounts.  Return your completed map and photos to the EAA by 5pm to win prizes from local businesses. It's easy and fun! 

Hint:  If you finish before 2pm, we'll give you a clue for another fun event at the North County Mall from 2pm-5pm!

Pick up a bingo card and a list of the 31 participating merchants at Heritage Garden.  Have fun visiting your favorite businesses and discovering new ones while playing bingo and collecting stamps for a chance to win prizes.
